Description

The small islands in Railay, Krabi, and Ao Nang provide diving that is shallow and easy, making it ideal for beginners, those who want to brush up on their skills, and those who simply want a relaxed day of diving. The visibility is often between 10 and 15 metres even though the maximum depth is approximately 20 metres.

Please Note a minimum of 2 people are required for this trip with a maximum of 8 per booking.

• All services not mentioned as included and all items of a personal nature
• Any Alcoholic beverages
• Any extra items purchased in hotels, souvenir shops and other such establishments
• Travel insurance (cover against cancellation costs, medical expenses, including repatriation, in the event of accident or illness). We highly recommend you arrange appropriate insurance in your home country

Equipment

• All scuba gear is available to hire for free. Some equipment, for example underwater cameras, will incur an extra charge unless it is required as part of your specialty.
• You’re welcome to use your own equipment but most importantly, please make sure it’s been serviced as and when required. If we see equipment that we do not feel is safe or adequate, we reserve the right to ask you to leave it behind and provide you with a suitable replacement.
• We have a huge range of scuba diving and snorkeling products to buy online. These can either be delivered to you or you can pick them up from here when you arrive.
• If you have specialist requirements, please contact us and we will do all we can to help fulfil those requirements.

Itinerary

• There are many different types of colourful soft corals, as well as amazing macro life, such as the nudibranch, Nemo, seahorse, bamboo shark, cuttlefish, pipefish, and Kuhl’s stingray.
• On a few of the islands, there are also some breathtaking swim throughs and caves that provide scuba divers with a bit of risk-free thrill during their dives as well as fantastic settings for taking underwater photography.
• Depending on the dive site, local islands are only a short boat ride away from Railay, taking anything from 30 to 40 minutes to reach.
• The excursion to the Local Islands can be undertaken in a longtail boat or, during the peak season, occasionally aboard the Big Boat.
