Description

The islands of Hin Daeng are the most prized possessions of the Andaman Sea’s southern region. This dive site, which is of the highest international standard, is consistently ranked among Thailand’s best three dive spots. With the midst of the ocean are two deep pinnacles known as Hin Daeng and Hin Muang. These pinnacles drop down to a depth of seventy metres, and they are covered in vibrant red soft corals and alive with marine life. In order for this adventure to go ahead, there must be a minimum of two people participating.

Visibility is typically very good; on a clear day, you should be able to see the ocean floor between 40 and 50 metres below the surface. It is not rare to come across Manta Rays or Whale sharks while scuba diving at these locations, which are widely recognised as being among the best in the Krabi and southern Thailand regions.

Because it has depths of fifty metres or more, it is an excellent dive location for highly experienced recreational divers as well as technical divers. [Case in point:] There are frequently powerful currents, therefore divers need to have a high level of confidence in their skills.

Itinerary

• Once we meet at the meet up point (whether we pick you up or you meet us there) we will head out on the boat for what is usually 2-3 hours to Hin Daeng (now and again, depending on the tide, we may have to start at Hin Muang instead).
• Once there, we’ll go down for our first dive. Once completed, we’ll take a break for some lunch as we move over Hin Muang ready to descend for our second dive of the day.
• Our return trip will likely take an hour again depending on the tide.
