Description

The Phi Phi Islands are home to some of the world’s most impressive dive sites. Our PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course will help you improve your diving skills in all aspects and open the door to a whole new world of diving opportunities, including wreck dives, deep dives, night dives, and a wide variety of others.

In order for you to improve your diving abilities and become a more skilled diver, you will need to successfully complete all five dives that are included in the advanced course. Put behind you all of those drawn-out periods spent reading and researching various theories. Not only will you have a good time taking this class, but you’ll also come away with a better understanding of how to behave when you’re submerged in water. When scuba diving, the maximum depth that an individual who has completed an Advanced Course can descend to is 30 metres, while the maximum depth that a Junior diver can descend to is 23 metres.

Please Note: A requirement of 1 person per trip with a maximum of 4 per booking.

To take this course, you must:

  • Being fit for diving (medical certificate)

What’s included

  • Course takes two days
  • 5 amazing dives at Phi Phi Island’s best dive sites
  • The furthest dive site is only 45 minutes away
  • All persons engaging in scuba diving should be of good health. We strongly recommend students check out the medical statement to ensure they are healthy enough to scuba dive. Persons that do have a history of specific illnesses may not be allowed to dive.
  • Must be Open Water Certified to participate in this course.

What’s NOT included

  • Divers must wait at least 18 hours after scuba diving prior to boarding an airplane. Not allowing enough time between the last dive and then going to altitude is potentially dangerous
  • All services not mentioned as included and all items of a personal nature
  • Any Alcoholic beverages
  • Any extra items purchased in hotels, souvenir shops and other such establishments
  • Travel insurance (cover against cancellation costs, medical expenses, including repatriation, in the event of accident or illness). We highly recommend you arrange appropriate insurance in your home country
  • The National Park Fees are not included. The National Park fees for this course will be 600 THB. National Park fees are paid directly to the national park rangers at the pier before boarding the dive boat.

Equipment

You will use all the basic scuba equipment and a diving computer during your open water dives. You will be able to buy your own mask in our retail shop as it is always better when it fits the face properly. A buoyancy compensating jacket that holds your scuba tank, a scuba regulator that delivers air, a weight system and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply will be used also. We will provide you with a short wet suit as well.

Itinerary

CERTIFICATION

  • Awarded a ‘Gold’ PADI Advanced Open Water Diver permits the diver to rent scuba diving equipment and to enjoy a greater variety of dives to a maximum depth of 30 meters. WRECK Dives. DEEP dives, NIGHT dives and many more and are just 5 dives away.

THEORY

  • Unlike the PADI Open Water Diver course the student is not required to watch hours of videos or do exams. Most of the training is practical application. Students read 5 chapters of the PADI Adventures In Diving manual and then complete the requirements of each dive.

SMALL GROUPS

  • We allow only four students per instructor. This allows us to maximize the level of training for each individual student and provide a personal experience for each student. Each student is always under the direct supervision of a PADI Scuba Instructor.

PADI DIGITAL LITE

  • As part of our goal to reduce our carbon footprint we only provide PADI Digital manuals. We register each student an online manual which they may download and get studying straight away. This way students can get the reading out of the way before they arrive.

5 ADVENTURE DIVES

  • The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of 5 Adventure Dives. Our program will visit the very best dive sites and can include WRECK dives, NIGHT dives, DEEP dives and many more.

WHAT DO WE SEE

  • Phi Phi Island dive sites are abundant with marine life. Turtles, schools of snappers, black tip reef sharks, moray eels, lionfish, clownfish, groupers, baracudas, leopard sharks, sea horses, nudibranchs, pufferfish, parrotfish, angelfish, butterflyfish and the list goes on, and on, and on….

BUFFET LUNCH

  • During the trip we provide refreshments, fruit, water, tea, and coffee. Between the two dives there is a short break to enjoy the beautiful bays, during which we provide a delicious buffet of Thai cuisine. If you have any special dietary needs we can take care of that request during the registration process.
